Schedule
We follow the recommended immunization schedule set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ensure optimal protection. We will work with you to create a vaccination plan that meets your child’s specific needs.
School Required Vaccines
To attend public school in Colorado, your child must meet specific immunization requirements. These requirements vary based on grade level. Here’s an overview of the most common vaccines required for school entry. It’s important to note that vaccine requirements can change, so it’s essential to check with your child’s school for the most up-to-date information. Our office can provide you with a personalized immunization schedule to ensure your child meets all school requirements.
Kindergarten
Children entering kindergarten must have received their final doses of DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis), polio (IPV), measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), and varicella (chickenpox) vaccines.
Grade 6
Students entering sixth grade must receive a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) booster.
Additional Vaccines
Depending on the school district, additional vaccines may be required, such as hepatitis B and meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY).

Vaccine Exemptions
Colorado state law allows for certain exemptions from immunization requirements. These exemptions include medical contraindications, religious beliefs, and personal convictions. It’s important to note that medical exemptions require documentation from a licensed healthcare provider, while religious and personal belief exemptions typically require a signed affidavit.
- We understand that parents may have questions or concerns about vaccines. Our team is here to provide accurate and up-to-date information to help you make informed decisions for your child's health.
- Keeping your child's immunizations up-to-date is crucial for their health and the health of the community. Vaccines help protect against serious and potentially life-threatening diseases. We recommend following the recommended immunization schedule to ensure your child is fully protected.
